NOVA Infrastructure Announces Slate of Senior Promotions, Expands US Team

NEW YORK, NY – March 20, 2024 – NOVA Infrastructure, a middle-market-focused infrastructure investment firm, today announced a number of updates to its senior leadership team, including the promotion of Stephen Denis and Philip Moor to Managing Director, Bryant Dang to Senior Vice President, and the addition of Michael Gruppuso as its new Chief Operating & Compliance Officer.

Denis’s promotion to Managing Director reflects his more than 11 years of experience in infrastructure-focused private equity, project development and investment banking. He currently serves on the Boards of Directors of Fund I’s portfolio companies telMAX and Skywire Networks. Prior to joining NOVA in 2019, Denis was the Vice President of Finance at Spire Holdco and also served as an investment and finance professional at both Strata Energy and at TPH Partners.

Moor joined NOVA in 2018 and currently serves on the Boards of Directors of Fund I’s portfolio companies Integrated Waste Solutions Group and Hawthorne Aviation. He has more than 15 years’ experience in the development and financing of power and infrastructure investments. Previously, Moor worked in Power & Infrastructure Finance at Investec, and was also in finance and investment roles at a Denham Capital portfolio company and UBS. 

Dang joined NOVA in 2019 and has been instrumental supporting multiple Fund I portfolio companies.  He currently serves on the Boards of Directors of Integrated Waste Solutions Group, Bold Ocean, and A&R BulkPak and as an Observer on the Board of the Harbor Logistics platform. Before joining NOVA Infrastructure, Dang was at EIV Capital and Moelis & Company.  

NOVA Appoints Chief Operating & Compliance Officer

NOVA also recently appointed Michael Gruppuso as Chief Operating and Chief Compliance Officer. In this role, he will also chair the company’s Executive Committee. Gruppuso will work closely with NOVA’s investment and finance teams to further increase the responsiveness and transparency for the Company’s investors as NOVA grows.

Previously, Gruppuso has held numerous roles in finance and operations, including most recently as Chief Financial & Compliance Officer of Rothschild and Co.’s US private equity team Five Arrows Capital Partners, as well as being a member of the Alternative Assets (formerly Merchant Banking) Operating Committee.
